The time has come, although a little late, sorry for that, but it is finish.
Firstly, Thanks to the 9xxSSF team which made what I am today, and also their support throughout the development process, and keeping the trust in me to finish this project. Special thanks to MAD_BEAST (leader of the 9xxSSF community), KinGPin, Tribaljet who helped me a lot, NeoDragon for support and development advice, Haze, and others who have supported all the way.
Finally the official driver and support for GMA 3150 is here. The release will mark the beginning of Sherry Project support for the GMA3150, as you all know, this is the first time that the project is developing for chipsets other than the 945 and 965 family. It’s all thanks for you suggestions and support throughout the development process 
First of all, here’s the change log for the GMA3150 release (built 1990.1.3.0.0, x86 release) :

- Compared to the main release for the 945, The GMA3150 release will not support MSI-X and IFS (IncreasedFixedSegmentation) technology
- Added new core exclusive for the GMA3150 including better Software TnL performance.
- Better crash control thanks to improved user mode driver (Windows 7 only)
- Better openGL support (the same use with other Sherry 1.3 release)
- Better video playback control and quality, fluid H.263 and partial H.264 support
- Better Flash video support (theoretically)
- WebGL support
- HTML5 partial acceleration (still work in progress)
Again I am sorry for the delay, I know some of the users are anxious with the delay, I have my reasons, which some of you may have already know, but fear not, I will try my best to work out my time and finally make the project fully finish , hopefully.

Windows 7 index Graphics part went down to 2.7 from 2.9 !! Gaming graphic is same 3.0.
My netbook is Acer D255 2GB ram. JE02
The index point should not be trusted at least in most cases and system.
Overall experience should be better or at least the same.
The cause for the drop may be as the GMA3150 version still don’t have the more “reliable” reading method for windows 7 as featured like the Sherry 1.3 for 945.
For the time being please post real time benchmark for further improvements

oh I see. I just ran one game and felt improvement in performance. Is there any other way to test graphic performance except Windows index ?
By the way, I’m using Windows7 Starter. Does OS affect graphic performance?
In some way it does effect a little, as Sherry 1.3 depends on the Windows 7 GDI for improved rendering which only have in Ultimate or any other Win7 Os that have aero enabled.
There are some ways to test it’s performance, the most common is to use it for a couple of days and list down what’s different from the stock driver.
Preformance fps dropped alot in minecraft 1.9pre after i installed the 1.3 for 3150 on acer d255 netbook running win 7 starter
Performance in games has decreased (wow, from 25 to 18 fps; JD from 20 to 14), WebGL aquarium stable – 3 fps. Lenovo s10-3c.
Does it applies to the fixed version or the first one?
I will look in to the problem as the driver core is switch from igdumdx32 for the first one to igdumd32 for the fixed one.
Curiously what games that have slow downs? Is software vertex enabled for the games? as the Sherry 1.3 reset all the setting that stock drivers have.

I must try running it on mine, pre & post Sherry, but I suspect it won’t be pretty either way.

Well, on a standard N450 Atom with the latest Intel driver, balanced (+mains power)
3Dmark06 scored 150 (SM2.0 = 69) , and was a slideshow!
Also, to run 3Dmark06 on Windows 7, some DX9 components must be updateed – I feel safer using the MS DX9 websetup (which has Windows 7 listed as supported) than the version built in to the download – and it then adds all the interim release d3dx9_??.dll files. Dxdiag was still happy with the result.
Unfortunately, Older versions of 3Dmark, where realistic performance levels might be seen, do not list Windows 7 as supported, though I have seen videos of 3Dmark 2001SE running in Windows 7
@angelic, bro i have a problem with running crysis on my netbook. it supports shade 2.0 so its should run on gma 3150 but it says your video card unsupported and it crashes.
i tried running it with swiftshader but very low FPS. then i tried running it with swvp the game was really good (like the intro movies and loading screen of EA it ran without lag) but when the game starts, you know where that doctor helena rosenthal starts talking, the whole screen gets black and white like the sky is all white and rest is black so you can make out the trees shape and its stays like that even when the mission starts.
There is no problem with audio its clear and no stuttering or lagging but i cannot see anything except white and black all over the screen.

Hey there, try to use IGRM, made by Haze, one of the veteran member of the 9xxSSF community.
IGRM will enable you to have software vertex processing enabled for the game, and will provide you with SM2 support.

And I don’t guarantee on the performance. The max fps recorded for the 945 is 20fps, that with the most lowest custom config for crysis and with a proper dual core CPU.

btw your driver is quite good. i tried playing L4D2 before and it used to lag a lot almost unplayale even at the lowest settings but now i play it at medium but with v-sync off and i get playable FPS. it still lags but i can play it now.

Great work! However, the driver has issues when connected to external displays. Previously I was able to connect to my Dell SP2309W with no problems (*), however at resolution of 1400×900 an additional approx 10 pixel blurred border is present around the bottom and right of the image, where previously the image was clean. Also, the aspect ratio is slightly narrower than it used to be with stock drivers.
* Nonetheless, output resolution is limited to 1680×1050 which does not match native of 2048×1152. Hoping later Sherry drivers help upgrade this artificial Intel restriction!

There will be an open source project for the Linux Driver first, and it all depends on how it is flexible enough to actually be ported to the OSX, if that fails then the back up plan will be launch, making the driver from scratch

What does “partial H.264 support” mean exactly? What has been accelerated?
Simply it means that in higher resolution H.264 videos, the acceleration would be heavily depends on your CPU power. The GMA isn’t actually design to effectively process H.264 streams but with the help from CPU, it can partially

The 64 bit driver will start after all 32bit driver are finish. Keep in mind that 64bit drivers is somewhat hard to develop, but I’ll try my best

I was also hoping that this driver would allow screen rotation. I wish I had known this feature was missing from my netbook before buying (Acer AOD260). 1 of 2 main reasons for the purchase was to use it as an ebook and now I feel foolish and am out of luck. I didn’t even know they made cards that didn’t support rotation these days. Seems like such a basic feature.
I have to admit till now for all intel GMA drivers haven’t support rotation properly yet. Until now, I still am working other important stuff about the driver to further improve the performance and features, rotation is one of them. For temporary workround, you can dual boot with linux distro, for first time users and average users, I recommend getting the new Ubuntu, Linux driver are far more usable in terms of features, including rotation. I also recommend dual booting Ubuntu via Wubi, saves you from all the repartition work. There are also great e-book software plus free books that you can find via Ubuntu Software Center. Netbooks for average use are far more versatile when using linux distros.
For now, while waiting for me to work on the driver, give Ubuntu a try, I believe it would be worth

Thanks for your help and the quick reply. I’ve used Unix and Linux for years and am a software developer so I know the benefits. But the majority of the apps I like to use have a Windows version whereas many don’t have a Linux version. Since I’m limited in terms of space I’m sticking with Windows for now.
If you ever get rotation happening, let me know. My understanding is that it may not even be a driver issue since the following thread and others suggest Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t can do it:

It looks like the issue is that the feature may be locked in the BIOS.for the Acer. I’ve read on the Intel site that the video VBIOS software is embedded by the manufacturer into the main BIOS for GMA3150. And to top it of the BIOS is a InsydeH20 BIOS not Phoenix or something else that is commonly hacked and modded.
So I may be stuck. Thankfully it’s not my only machine, I don’t particularly like portrait mode for much other than the odd ebook, and some Ebook readers have their own rotation built in. Still it is very annoying to be locked out of functionality that the hardware is capable of. Who knows or cares what the commercial reason for Acer’s decision is.

simple uninstall the current intel driver first in add remove software so you get low deff standard vga then install the sherry 1.3
the intel software its self comes up with the valdated msg tested on 2 pcs but above fixes

When I play age of empires 3 using the latest intel drivers from there website I get between 5fps and 15fps and when I use sherry 1.3 I get between 15fps and 30fps

I realised that acer have it’s own versions of drivers, and users can’t install, a driver which isn’t certificated by acer.

I have installed Sherry on a Dell Inspiron Duo, and it certainly has improved the graphics capabilities, especially the WebGL performance. I have yet to observe the power savings, but I can say I have had no issues at all with the applications I have installed on this machine. There is a problem for the screen resolution. Its always fix at the aspect ratio resolution, I can’t get into full screen. Any further update for this problem? or any solution?

GMA3150 is currently not supported, though there are 2 drivers that I remembered creating for the GMA3150.
is there a possibility for you to make a x64 driver of this??
64bit will be supported on future release, though results may vary as I don’t have any intel graphics hardware that is on 64bit windows.
Been having issues with this driver for a few games. Old goldsource Valve games, for starters. Maybe it’s a problem w/ the executables; I’m not sure. T_T

Hi everyone! I have a problem. I have installed the latest Sherry drivers(1.3) for the Intel GMA 3150 on my samsung N150, after the uninstallation original DRIVERS from Intel, and now I can’t change the brightness of the screen, Have anybody know a solution of my problem?
Works good for games on the latest version, but seems to cause youtube and other streaming videos to lag then quickly fastfoward to catch up. Is there a fix planned for this? Would be awsome if this was fixed as I use youtube more than i play games so have installed the original drivers for now.
You tube and streaming videos seem to be fine now for some reason, could have been just a coincedence, so everything works great. Just tried running a 3d game with the original drivers was barely playable, then installed sherry again it’s running smooth. Thanks
