For the past years we at the 9xxssf Community Group tried hard to satisfy our users, whether in terms of user support, development, and contribution, we all try harder each day to make your mobile life easier. Our group leader, Jose (aka MAD_BEAST) have release a set of polls to help us improve our contribution better in the future, it just takes seconds to answer each polls and on top of that it’s free! So help us so we can help you ^^. The polls can be found in this page (alternate 9xxssf page showing the polls click here) . It’s easy, the polls itself is for 3 years and above 🙂 .

It’s time for driver updates! As i told the 9xxssf Community Group ,the rev 3 of the V1.2 Sherry Driver is almost complete, mind that i will not release the driver until further notice, but I can tell you guys about the sneak peak of what’s going to be available for mobile 9xx gamers, and believe me, this is going to be a blast!

I’ve implemented new technology on the driver making it a total of literally 30 new features adding from the rev 2 V1.2 Sherry, making the rev 3 more flexible to system needs, giving users more control and performance at unbelievable stability. Some of the new features includes :

  • New bandwidth management to increase shared resource performance (shared VRAM and CPU power)
  • Improved Color translation making color more vivid on most systems.
  • Core Driver Code have been change slightly making it more lightweight for all netbooks and laptops models
  • 4 ways inf threading support for 945GM (all laptop models), 945G (all desktop variants), 945GME and 945GSE (including GMS variants)
  • More modder friendly inf for more power tweaking users
  • Bleeding-Edge setting included in the driver for power users to play with
  • that and much much more!

As a side note, I’m making my own simple poll to determine whether i should change the blog theme or not. Leave your suggestion below and i’ll pick which theme best according to users choice ^^ , so yeah, should i change or not? That is the question.

Well, that is for now, owh, if you guys happened to already register at the 9xxssf.info Social Site or still haven’t yet register (What? Go and register now! stubborn.) Post “9xxssf Rockz!” there letting know that you guys here support them ^^.

See ya again, till next time. Cheers!

  2. AngelicTears says:

For now, the there will be no x3100 release, although some users mod my driver to work with the 965 (x3100) and have positive results…u can try ask at the question for modding the V1.2 Sherry for the 965 on the 9xxssf group…http://groups.google.com/group/intel9x-gaming

oh and dont forget to post your system spec before asking..rules ^^

  3. gma965_user says:

Hi! I wanted to ask if GMA 965 is available?

    PC specs;
    Windows XP SP3(Pro)
Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHz
    2GB DDR2
    Intel GMA X3100(965)

    Thanks!

wow..the rev03 features are quite interesting..when it will be release? =P
right now i’m using rev02 and my lappy is more satisfying than before..
    btw thanks for your efforts

    Hi,

its impresive how much there is to unlock.
I have just one question, where do you find all this stuff? Its a miracle!

Btw. why arent you naming the drivers with revisions and not just increment it to maybe 1.3. That would make it clearer, that the new driver actually has new features and not “just” bugfixing. For me rev xy hints to bugfixing…

But dont let you get distracted by that, your drivers are the best! Keep up the good work!

    @Chris
    Hi there ^6
thanks for the support..as for the question..

the features mentioned are already supported by the hardware itself, BUT is disabled in stock drivers..some other features are code by myself…how do i do it? well that’s not going to be public ^^ but i do know that the hardware (in this case the GMA 950 IGP) and any other hardware in general do have it’s untapped potential..im just enabling and making some codes that is supported by the hardware making it a little better for everyday usage / gaming for example.

and about the rev thingy ^^ i do have older version of my drivers..starting from V1.0, V1.1 and V1.1E (update release) all can be found in the 9xxssf community group, and as u can see now i had made the V1.2 “Sherry”..
i try to tell it in a simple story. After the release of the V1.1E, i’ve decided to start a project codename “Sherry”, main release as u can see V1.2…the V1.2 “Sherry isnt a finished project yet..that’s why i named it by revisions..until it finished to be a final product. and the rev3 mentioned above will be the RC for the V1.2 driver. im sorry for it to be this way,but this project is somewhat important to me and i do want it to be as perfect as it can be…^^

again thanks for the support ^^

  7. Chris says:

ok, no problem! Its your driver anyway 😉

One quick remark on 1.2 rev2:
Yesterday I installed it on my laptop replacing Intels 15.12.75.4.1930 (8.15.10.1930) and I noticed an fps-drop in League of Legends. With the original driver I was playing at ~20fps, with yours the fps went down to ~16fps.

    Laptop specs:
2GHz Core Duo T2500, so SSE3 should be supported
2GB DDR2-667 RAM running dual channel
    and our beloved 945GM 🙂

I hope rev 3 is gonna bring back the performance.
    Keep up the good work!

  8. AngelicTears says:

Yes, about that one, league of legends do experience drops in performance…there are some others who reported that their fps drops with that game..in fact their are other games that experience slow down, but only a few…im working on the fix for the future rev 3..so bare with me ^^

thanks for reporting and keep up the support ^^

  9. Derp says:

Can’t wait for the new drivers. I’m using your V1.2 drivers, and they are amazing.

Any plans for a Linux release?

  10. AngelicTears says:

There are some planning to create a linux or any other unix like driver for 945 and 965. but that’s not in my hand to decide now, i myself have moderate experience on linux driver. other issue would be the 945 hardware openGL support is crap. but there’s nothing without a fix on this world ^^

  11. Chris M. says:

Can’t WAIT for rev. 3 😀 Been using rev. 2 and things are working amazingly! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to this project.

  12. garold says:

tell us how much time it will take for rev3
